Winter is not a backdrop here. It is the race itself: cold air, gloves, headlights, silence and timing. The 2026 Winter Marathon returned to Madonna di Campiglio with two demanding stages through the Dolomites. For number 50, the rally became a different kind of discipline. Snow changes the sound of everything. The car feels smaller, the mountains feel closer, and every timed section asks for calm before speed.

The 2026 edition asked for more than speed. It asked for precision over 500 km, 16 hours of driving, 14 Dolomite passes, 65 timed trials and 6 average speed tests, against a field of 129 cars at the start. Inside the car, Andrea Galgano as driver and Davide Montani as navigator found the specific rhythm of the Winter Marathon in Princess Grace, our 1957 Porsche 356 A T1: short instructions, long silences, windows fogging, hands finding their place, the mountain always present. It is less a race against others than a negotiation with cold, road and time.
