Why they are here
Childhood, made permanent.
Imaginary Friends brings together sculptural figures of characters first encountered in childhood — long before collecting had a name, a method or a place of its own. They belong to a visual vocabulary learned almost unconsciously: gestures, expressions and silhouettes that remained familiar even after the comics and cartoons themselves had moved into memory.
What matters here is not nostalgia for its own sake. It is the strange permanence of certain images and the pleasure of discovering that an apparently playful object can carry rarity, craftsmanship and a serious collecting history. These figures change scale and material, but they retain the immediate emotional recognition that made the characters important in the first place.
At the centre of this chapter are three particularly elusive pieces. Each can occasionally surface alone, and each requires patience to find in the right condition. The extraordinary part is the combination: golfer, skier and ice skater gathered in the same collection. That turns three difficult acquisitions into a group that is close to impossible to reconstruct intentionally.

01 / Extremely rare
Donald Duck Golfer.
The golfer is one of the anchors of the group: an extremely rare Donald Duck figure built around a wonderfully unnecessary sporting moment. Its charm is immediate, but the collecting interest lies in how seldom it appears and how quickly an apparently comic object becomes serious once rarity and condition enter the conversation. It is exactly the kind of piece TURE likes — joyful at first glance, much more difficult to replace once you understand what you are looking at.
02 / Rare
Goofy Skier.
Goofy on skis has all the physical comedy the character should have, translated into a sculpture that depends on balance, gesture and movement. It is rare in its own right and visually very different from the two Donald figures, which is why it gives the trio rhythm rather than repetition. Finding one is possible; finding one while assembling the other two pieces becomes a much more demanding exercise in patience and coincidence.
03 / Unicorn
Donald Duck Ice skater.
The ice skater is the unicorn. The pose, the skates and the improbability of the object make it memorable before rarity is even discussed, but rarity is precisely what changes its status inside the collection. It is the piece around which the trio becomes exceptional. Seen alone it is already elusive; placed beside the golfer and the skier, it turns the three figures into a collecting constellation that is extraordinarily difficult to reproduce.

Individually, they can surface. Together, they become extraordinary.
